Roaring Fork motor nature trail is one of the top attractions in the Great Smoky Mountains. It gets its name from the stream that flows next to the trail. 

The narrow and winding, Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail is a 6-mile-long one-way loop road.  It offers people visiting Smokies with views of rushing mountain streams, vibrant forest, old log cabins, and other historic buildings. Slow down and enjoy the ambience of the area, take photos.

To access Roaring Fork, turn off the main parkway in Gatlinburg, TN at traffic light #8 and follow Historic Nature Trail Road to the Cherokee Orchard entrance to the national park. 

Keep in mind that Roaring Fork is closed in the winter months 

Expect to spend 1-2 hours on the tour. Hiking in the mountains and to waterfalls of course will take up more time.

G eorge Wallace Tunnel  is a marvel of engineering located in Mobile, Alabama in southern United States. This is an underwater tunnel along Interstate 10 that crosses from the Mobile city's downtown, goes beneath the Mobile River, and emerges on Blakeley Island. The depth of clearance is 40 ft for the ship channel over the tunnel.  The 2 tunnels were built in sections and floated to the proper positions, then sunk. Each section was sunk next to the previous section and joined underwater. When all sections were connected, and concrete set into place, they were pumped dry and finished out.  The tunnel is well lit and clean. The drive is fun. Don't hit the brakes unnecessarily. T aos Pueblo is a living Native American - Pueblo Indians - settlement located in Northern New Mexico of United States.  The multi-storied adobe buildings have been continuously inhabited for over 1000 years. This settlement - consisting of dwellings and ceremonial buildings - is in the valley of Rio Grande tributary at the base of Sangre de Cristo Mountain range. Taos Pueblo is a National Historic Landmark and a UNESCO Heritage Site. According to UNESCO “Taos Pueblo is a remarkable example of a traditional type of architectural ensemble from the pre-Hispanic period of the Americas unique to this region.
