Infinite Wanderlust

P edernales Falls State Park is a classic Texas hill country attraction. This beautiful park is about 1 hour drive from Austin Texas. Any outdoor lover who enjoys being in nature will have fun in the park. The Pedernales River flows through the park and the main attraction here is the scenic Pedernales Falls. Unusual limestone rock formation along the Pedernales River is another distinct attraction. The falls are easily accessible from the parking area.  Activities like the swimming, tubing and fishing are allowed in the park in designated areas. Consult the trail map before getting into the water. Pay strict attention to -no swimming- signs. The park is open year round. The best time to visit would be the Spring. You can also enjoy hiking, biking and horseback riding in the rugged trails of the park. The park have several picnic areas and campsites including few primitive campsites. R oaring Fork motor nature trail is one of the top attractions in the Great Smoky Mountains. It gets its name from the stream that flows next to the trail.  The narrow and winding, Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail is a 6-mile-long one-way loop road.  It offers people visiting Smokies with views of rushing mountain streams, vibrant forest, old log cabins, and other historic buildings. Slow down and enjoy the ambience of the area, take photos. To access Roaring Fork, turn off the main parkway in Gatlinburg, TN at traffic light #8 and follow Historic Nature Trail Road to the Cherokee Orchard entrance to the national park.  Keep in mind that Roaring Fork is closed in the winter months  Expect to spend 1-2 hours on the tour.
